Work Africa Truth Verification Services (TVS)
Voice Stress Analysis (VSA) is technology that aims to detect deception from stress measured in a subject’s voice / vocal chords. Current trends indicate that people and organisations are moving away from the traditional Polygraph testing, to the new Voice Stress Analysis (VSA) method.
With Voice Stress Analysis, subjects are asked a range of questions by a qualified analyst, and the VSA measures the physical changes taking place in the subject’s body. However, unlike a polygraph, this is not done through any physical attachments. The VSA is a much friendlier test in terms of how it interacts with the subject.
The benefits of the Voice Stress Analysis include:
- More hygienic as there are less physical attachments;
- More subject friendly; and
- Less intimidating to subjects.
Voice Stress Analysis testing can be used as follows:
PERIODIC SCREENING
As a proactive measure to deter staff or establish if theft has taken place.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING
As a tool in the pre-employment process – checking the validity of a CV, Job History, Qualifications etc.
SPECIFIC INCIDENT TESTING
As a tool to establish if staff members were involved in specific incidences that have taken place eg theft.
